I did not think of Preston in the beginning as I thought he was just a guy that would show me a house I wanted to buy. Very quickly he earned my trust and confidence. Many people do not know this, but an agent will get his/ her percentage when a deal is closed. What this means is that every time you meet your agent at a potential home, the agent does all of this work for free! Looking back on our relationship, Preston must have shown me at least five different homes until I found what I was looking for. He never once became frustrated and always met at each location 15 minutes early. Of all the things to worry about buying my new house, Preston was not one of those things. On my particular home, all of the appliances were rather old. The owner signed a deal with a Home Warranty Company for an additional year of coverage, and this was included in our sale. As it turned out the contract was renewed during our escrow period and the renewal price was a little bit more than last year. The old owner refused to pay the difference. Preston paid this amount out of his commission. It was not a lot of money but as I am a stranger to him, I thought how cool! Not every person would do this. Thanks Preston!
